Mitek Systems

Mitek Systems is a software company that specializes in digital identity verification and mobile capture technology.

THE CHALLENGE

Needing to distinguish from competitors in the space, Mitek needed to stand out and get the expertise of their leadership in the limelight.

THE GOAL

Mitek engaged BAM to increase the awareness of their Chief Technology Officer as an influential thought leader, with a specific focus on his following on Twitter. 

THE SOLUTION

BAM worked with Mitek’s Chief Technology Officer to understand key company initiatives, as well as his perspective and expertise on the biometric identity space. To ensure that the content felt authentic, BAM held a personal branding workshop to better understand interests, voice, and tone. 

BAM’s approach was to write custom content each week targeted to share the CTO’s perspective on trending topics on social media to insert his point of view into key conversations. To ensure that all content shared on Twitter was seen, BAM researched and selected 12 influential industry leaders for the CTO to engage with.

THE RESULTS

To keep the audience growth strategic, BAM performed a weekly social scan of other influential industry leaders to find opportunities for engagement with them, as well as the audiences they have built to make sure the CTO was getting in front of the right audience. 

As a result of the steady cadence of content created and shared on Twitter, BAM succeeded in increasing the executive’s follower count by 108% within the first three months of our engagement. To ensure alignment with company goals, BAM evaluated the quality of the executives' audience, to find that 50% of the total followers had a niche specialty directly related to Mitek’s focus areas. Additionally, BAM secured engagement with two target influencers.
