Epicore Biosystems

Epicore Biosystems is a digital health company developing advanced sweat-sensing wearables that provide real-time personalized health insights for hydration, stress, and wellness.

THE CHALLENGE

Epicore Biosystems had a small media footprint before engaging with BAM. Most of their coverage focused on its partners and very little on Epicore and their technology. The company needed to highlight its technology and upcoming partnerships, and get its scientific publications in the press to further establish the company and its executives as thought leaders in the space.

THE GOAL

Epicore Biosystems needed a marketing and PR agency that could revise its current messaging to be more media friendly, followed by a media relations strategy to help increase brand awareness and thought leadership of its founders.

THE SOLUTION

BAM created a 90-day media strategy focused on creating monthly news moments for Epicore and pitching their new partnership announcements. As a result, BAM was able to consistently secure coverage within Epicore’s key trade media verticals (e.g., wearable and health tech). Our media strategy also included creating proactive storylines that aligned with the current news cycle around climate change and how the technology was effective for athletes and industrial workers. We leveraged Epicore’s solutions, partners, compelling metrics, and executive opinions to help drive introductions to key national and top-tier media.

THE RESULTS

In the first 90 days, BAM exceeded media relations goals by 333%. Epicore extended their contract to a full six-month retainer to keep the momentum going. To date, BAM has secured 28 pieces of media coverage for Epicore in local, national, and trade publications with nearly 21M impressions.
