THE CHALLENGE

Ahead of its IPO on the Oslo Stock Exchange, Kahoot! sought to build brand awareness among education and enterprise professionals for its premium products.

Kahoot! experienced tremendous growth in 2020. BAM aimed to leverage the company’s user and revenue growth, acquisitions to increase Kahoot!’s brand awareness within the U.S. and globally.

Kahoot! had a trend of having back-to-back company announcements. BAM recommended developing a schedule to avoid overwhelming journalists, and combining announcements where appropriate. Non-priority news was announced solely via Kahoot!’s blog or PR Newswire.

In 6 months, BAM secured 14 feature stories for Kahoot!. 50% of all media coverage was in top-tier national press.

THE RESULTS

In six months, BAM secured 16 placements, with 14 of them being feature stories, and 50% of the media coverage in top-tier national press. Three of the features were live broadcast and recorded podcasts. In addition, this coverage generated almost 1,000 shares, comments, or likes across social media and resulted in over a dozen new media relationships for Kahoot!.
